During last week's monthly board meeting, the Nominating Committee presented its final slate of officers and directors for the 2024-2025 AIBD Board of Directors.
Codes & Standards Chairman Files Lawsuit in Florida
Jack Butler, Chairman of the AIBD Codes & Standards and Legislative Watch Committees sued Broward County, Florida, this week. The lawsuit claims the county illegally adopted administrative amendments to the Florida Building Code, one of which restricts the submittal of one- and two-family and townhouse plans to only registered design professionals. Jack filed the suit personally and is representing himself in the case.
